• Lunches are still free this year. Breakfast is free and served at our first recess.

• Students are allowed to eat a breakfast from home in class from 8:00-8:15, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Fridays.

• It is very important to send your child with a water bottle and two healthy snacks each day.

• You must call the office to excuse any tardies or absences, or to make any changes to pick up.

• Blue folders go home every Monday and are due back every Friday. Please empty out the "leave at home" side.

• ​We have a spelling test every Friday.

• We have P.E. every Tuesday and Thursday. Please have your child wear sneakers on these days.

• We have Library every Wednesday. Please send your child with their book and bag every Wednesday.

• Students may wear any LFCS spirit shirt and jeans/jean shorts on Fridays (no holes or designs in pants).

• Reading levels in First Grade are measured from letters A to Z. The goal at the end of the year is to reach letter I.

• I encourage students to read in front of the class. They may bring a book from home to read, as long as they can read it by themselves in 5-10 minutes.  

• Birthdays are celebrated monthly. If your child has a birthday coming up, someone will be contacting you to see if/what you want to bring in to share on the selected day. July and August's birthdays are celebrated in June.
